About Miguel Ángel Feba
Miguel Ángel Feba was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on December 16, 1994. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Arts from the University of Puerto Rico, Carolina Campus (UPRCA) in 2018. During his time there, he was part of the ARTE 3157 course, where he met Master Heriberto Nieves, with whom he developed his first painting.
Together with the Master, he initiated the first chapter of the Association of Plastic Arts of UPRCA, which he presided over for more than two years. Within the association, he led a group of young individuals in creating various exhibitions and events, both within and outside UPRCA.
Later on, he further developed his artistic proposal in Master Nieves’ workshop in Cerro Gordo, Puerto Rico. Since then, Miguel Ángel has closely collaborated with Nieves on projects, including the construction and installation of the exhibition “Mirando Hacia el Sur es Natural,” which was presented at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Bogotá. He also contributed to the development and composition of the exhibition’s descriptive video.
In 2019, he participated in the residency program at the Cite Internationale des Arts in Paris, where his artistic vision and proposal evolved amidst the history and Parisian atmosphere.
Since then, he has been part of exhibitions such as “Vórtice, Heriberto Nieves y su escuela,” a collective of young artists who presented their proposals at the UPR Art Gallery in Carolina.
Currently, Miguel Ángel works in his studio in Río Piedras, experimenting and conducting research with painting. Additionally, he serves as a Graphic Artist in the Autonomous Municipality of Bayamón, Puerto Rico.
