In ACCUM, Carlos Dávila Rinaldi explores accumulation as a pictorial language in constant transformation. Gesture, color, and movement shape compositions in which lines and forms intertwine, creating rhythms and tensions that invite sustained looking.
The Accumulation Series represents a distinctive strand of his artistic practice and a space of freedom in which to express his emotions and his relationship with his surroundings. From his studio beside Lake Carraízo in Caguas, the artist develops an abstraction that moves between simplicity and complexity. Accumulation can thus be understood as a record of sensations, where each gesture establishes new relationships with the others and opens possibilities for interpretation.
Galería Petrus presents ACCUM on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, as part of Martes de Galería en Santurce. The exhibition invites visitors to discover a visual universe in which the energy of mark-making and the intensity of color transform the act of looking into a personal experience.
